KALMAKOFF GALLERY

SECOND PERIOD
1913 - 1928
After leaving St. Petersburg in c. 1923
Kalmakoff lived in the Baltic countries, then the Riviera
and possibly Brussels before settling in Paris in 1925
During this period of wandering he produced many of his best works:
some paintings were erotic, others misogynist; many were self portraits.
This culminated in his design of the Chapelle Fortin.
